We have a brand-new position available for an Assembly Operative to join an already successful company based near Woodhall Spa. Our client is an expert in their field and can offer career progression, training opportunities and long-term employment. Working in the workshop you will be required to make a wide range of wooden furniture from instructions provided by your manager. This role will involve using hand tools including routers, drills, saws, and other woodworking machinery. In addition to the assembly duties, you may be asked to help the team in the warehouse, packing customer’s orders and getting them ready for delivery. With this in mind, being physically important as there will be some heavy lifting involved in the job. What will I be expected to do? Quality check components Follow instructions & drawings provided. Run machinery and equipment, including, CNC machines. Assemble wooden furniture using a variety of hand tools. What skills do I need? Previous experience in a manufacturing or workshop environment Proven ability to work using own initiative. The ability to communicate well with other team members and management. Ability to demonstrate commitment, reliability, and good timekeeping. What hours will I be working? There are two shifts which may be available: a morning shift & an afternoon shift. Morning Shift – Mon to Fri – 7.00AM to 3.30PM Afternoon Shift – Mon to Fri – 3.30PM to 11.00PM How much will I be paid? Morning Shift – £12.21 per hour Afternoon Shift – £13.07 per hour Overtime – time and a half.
