To oversee and carry out the efficient handling, storage, and dispatch of all materials. The successful candidate will have proven experience in running or managing a stores operation, with strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate stock control and smooth workflow throughout the goods in and goods out process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the receipt, inspection, and booking-in of all incoming goods and materials.
- Ensure all deliveries are checked against purchase orders and recorded accurately in the inventory system (Simpro).
- Organise and store materials in the correct locations, maintaining clear labelling and stock rotation practices.
- Pick, pack, label up and prepare outgoing goods for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Ensure the returns process is followed correctly and promptly.
- Complete regular cycle counts of stock.
- Liaise with procurement.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe stores.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for stock control, storage layout, and process efficiency.
Requirements:
- Experience running or managing stores / warehouse operations, including both goods in and goods out processes.
- Strong understanding of inventory control and materials management.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- High attention to detail.
