We are seeking an experienced CNC Machine Operative with strong turning and milling skills to join a well-established precision engineering manufacturer in Northampton.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC turning and milling machines to produce precision machined components.
- Manufacture parts to engineering drawings and tight tolerances.
- Perform tool changes, adjust offsets and set programs where required.
- Carry out in-process and finished part inspection using precision measuring tools (e.g. micrometers, verniers, gauges).
- Ensure quality standards are met on every job and report any non-conformances.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in the machine area.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to production targets.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a CNC operator with both turning and milling.
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of inspection equipment and quality practices.
- Precision engineering or manufacturing background.
