Our client is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented and experienced (2 years plus) Airfreight Export Operator to join their highly skilled team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing export airfreight consignments from start to finish. The candidate will be responsible for order management, dealing with customer enquiries, export documentation, customs entries, raising of AWB’s and work in close cooperation with their offices while servicing UK customers.
Key Responsibilities- A key part of the role will be arranging export collections for their UK based customers with various tasks such as checking collections, raising of export entries, generating AWB’s and other administrational tasks associated within an Air Export environment.
- Timely and effective communication with Customers, partners and internal departments via telephone and email.
- Verifying and updating systems with customer booking details.
- Work collaboratively with operations and overseas offices to ensure the successful delivery of all customer commitments.
- Effective monitoring to ensure collections are completed within the agreed timelines.
- Ensure that all collection consignments are conforming to correct information.
- Pro-active problem solving with customers and colleagues when issues arise.
- Ensure consignments are rated correctly to ensure invoicing is completed in an accurate and timely manner.
- Provide KPI and reports both internally and externally where required.
- Resolve credit management queries where necessary.
- General day to day administrative duties.
