Role Overview: Pertemps is seeking a proactive and motivated Rough Sleeper Co-ordinator to join the London Borough of Harrow's expanding team. This temporary role offers a competitive hourly rate of up to £32.10 Umbrella PAYE, along with excellent training opportunities, career development prospects, and 21 days of annual leave (excluding Bank Holidays).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Harrow Council's operational and strategic response to rough sleeping, working collaboratively with key partners from statutory and voluntary sectors.
- Coordinate and oversee various initiatives aimed at reducing and ultimately ending rough sleeping, ensuring effective delivery and ongoing evaluation.
- Analyse outcomes, monitor progress, and implement best practices from national rough sleeper strategies and successful projects.
- Work closely with the Housing Needs team, providing leadership and maintaining momentum to drive sustainable solutions to rough sleeping in Harrow.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of key legislation like the Housing Act 1996 and Homelessness Code of Guidance.
- Understanding of housing-related benefits.
- Experience handling face-to-face interactions in tough situations.
