Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:00

Work Arrangement: 36 hours per week, might be required to work evenings

Role Overview: Pertemps is currently recruiting for a proactive and motivated Box Office Supervisor to join the expanding team at the London Borough of Harrow. This temporary position offers a competitive hourly rate of up to 19.01 PAYE, alongside excellent training, career development opportunities, and 21 days of annual leave (excluding Bank Holidays).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage venue hire and commercial bookings to meet income targets.
  • Act as the main contact for hirers, overseeing event bookings.
  • Optimize space usage via the booking system, handling the full process from enquiry to payment.
  • Lead and support box office assistants, ensuring excellent customer service and sales.
  • Maintain box office rota, covering evenings and weekends, including major events.
  • Process daily transactions up to 2,000, arrange banking, and update financial records.
  • Coordinate the artistic programme diary for efficient scheduling.

Requirements:

  • Proven knowledge of front and back-office systems for arts venues, including ticketing and commercial hire best practices.
  • Experience managing a small team, including scheduling rotas and shift patterns.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure, balancing multiple demands in a fast-paced environment.
  • Accuracy in data entry and financial transactions, handling cash, card payments, and cheques securely.
  • Skilled in deadline management, workload prioritization, and event planning.
  • Experience with Spektrix Ticketing and/or Artifax Event Management systems is desirable.
  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and relevant booking/ticketing software.
