We are looking for a skilled CAD Draftsman to join our client’s team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a complete 3D model of a cold-rolled steel frame, including all structural components, annotations, and specifications for steel sections, brackets, bolts, fixings, and cladding. This model will support the manufacturing team in fabricating the structure. Location: Cinderford (Hybrid/ remote working available) Employment type: Full time Monday- Friday Hours: 08:00-17:00 (Overtime available) Salary: £25,000-£27,000 + Monthly/Annual Performance Bonus Scheme Holiday: 20 Days + Bank holiday, plus additional allowance over Christmas Benefits: Access to company pool cars Use of company gym Sport simulations (fancy a round of golf on your lunch break)Key Responsibilities: Develop a detailed 3D model of a cold-rolled steel frame, incorporating all structural components. Provide clear annotations and specifications for bolts, brackets, fixings, and cladding. Prepare and submit General Arrangement (GA) drawings for approval. Work closely with the engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are ready for fabrication. Maintain industry standards in drafting and structural steel design. Make design updates as needed, ensuring smooth coordination between project stakeholders.Ideal Candidate: Proficient in AutoCAD for both 2D and 3D modelling. Strong understanding of CAD design in building construction, experience in structural steel framing is advantageous but not essential Ability to create detailed 3D models and General Arrangement drawings. Attention to detail to ensure accurate and clear designs.
