Warehouse Team Leader – needed in Tewkesbury, Salary: Starting at £14.12 per hour (increasing with training, up to £15.42), Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week – 5 shifts, Start Times: Various start times from 06:00, Location: Tewkesbury, Contract: Temp to Perm (12 Weeks).
Join a well-established logistics and distribution operation! We’re looking for an enthusiastic Warehouse Team Leader to join a brand-new, state-of-the-art chilled warehouse in Tewkesbury. This is an entry-level leadership role with full training and long-term progression opportunities in warehouse management.
What You’ll Do
- Support Warehouse Supervisors in the daily receipt, picking, and dispatch of chilled products
- Lead, motivate, and coach a small team of Warehouse Operatives
- Oversee stock movements, checking product codes and maintaining accuracy
- Ensure safe and efficient loading and unloading of vehicles
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment in line with food hygiene standards
- Communicate effectively across Production, Haulage, and Distribution teams
- Assist with staff performance monitoring and development
- Provide cover for Supervisors during absences or holidays
What We’re Looking For
- Strong communication skills and ability to build positive working relationships
- Motivated, proactive, and eager to develop leadership skills
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational, and problem-solving abilities
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities in a fast-moving warehouse
- Knowledge of Health & Safety and safe working practices
- (Desirable) Previous experience in FMCG, dairy, or chilled warehouse logistics
- (Desirable) Forklift or PPT licence – training available
Shift Pattern
- Weekdays & Saturdays: Various start times approx. 06:00, 07:00, 08:00, 09:00 (occasionally 05:00)
- 37.5 hours per week
- Rotating shifts based on warehouse operational needs
