Quality Inspector required in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire to join a well-established manufacturing organisation operating within a highly regulated, quality-critical environment.
Salary: £12.25-£14.70
Hours: Weekly rotating shifts (06:00–14:30 - £12.25 / 14:00–22:30 - £14.70)
Contract: Temp-to-perm

Pertemps are recruiting for a Quality Inspector to join a respected and technically focused manufacturing business supplying into demanding customer sectors. This role sits within Final Inspection and plays a critical part in ensuring products are delivered in full, on time, and with zero defects. This position would suit a detail-focused Quality Inspector who enjoys hands-on inspection work, takes pride in high standards, and is comfortable working closely with production teams to support right-first-time manufacturing.
Key Duties- Final inspection of finished products, including visual (cosmetic) and physical (dimensional) inspection of printed circuit boards
- Supporting the requirement for 100% quality in collaboration with the QA team and production colleagues
- Providing hands-on support with in-process inspection where manufacturing issues arise
- Communicating quality issues, queries, and concessions with the QA team
- Identifying, recording, and reporting failure modes to support yield and quality improvements
- Generating AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI) reports and other customer documentation (training provided)
- Accurately recording inspection results and maintaining clear quality records
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Contributing to continuous improvement activities to improve quality and reduce waste
- Experience working as a Quality Inspector or in a similar quality-focused role within manufacturing
- Strong attention to detail with a quality-first mindset
- Experience carrying out visual inspection for cosmetic and surface finish defects
- Confident using measurement equipment such as verniers and micrometers
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, including report writing
- A proactive, flexible team player with good problem-solving abilities
- Strong IT skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Experience generating AS9102 FAI reports
- Background in manufacturing or electronics
- Experience working within a highly regulated manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with Visual FAIRs software or Optical CMM systems
- GCSE Maths, English, and Science at Grade C or above
- Ability to work rotating shift patterns and flexibility to work additional hours when required
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high personal standards
- Customer-focused attitude with a “can-do” approach
