Monday to Friday: Flexible start times and finish times - work dependent

Salary: £32,000 - £40,000 + Overtime + Door-to-Door Pay

We’re hiring for a Waste Water & Sewage Treatment Engineer on behalf of a growing business that looks after sewage treatment plants, pumps and wastewater systems across the UK. You’ll be out and about most days, working independently at a variety of sites to keep systems running smoothly. If you’re good with your hands, confident working with both mechanical and electrical systems, and like the idea of fixing real-world problems, this could be the right move for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service and maintain sewage treatment plants, wastewater systems, and sewage pumps
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults
  • Complete planned preventative maintenance and respond to callouts
  • Use a mobile app to manage and complete daily job schedules
  • Liaise with customers onsite and report to the scheduling team or line manager
  • Ensure van stock is maintained with essential tools and parts
  • Complete accurate and thorough job reports after each visit
  • Participate in on-the-job training as needed

About You

  • Prior experience in wastewater treatment, pump systems, or similar engineering field
  • Strong mechanical and/or electrical fault-finding skills
  • Comfortable working independently and in varied environments
  • Good communication skills - this is a remote-first role
  • Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting when required
  • Confident using mobile devices for scheduling and reporting

Desired Qualifications

  • Mechanical or electrical qualifications - 17th, 18th, or 19th Edition (advantageous but not essential)
  • CSCS card and confined space training (preferred)
  • Full UK driving licence (required)
