About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Account Manager to join a growing commercial team within a well-established engineering/manufacturing business based in Tewkesbury. This role focuses on building and maintaining strong customer relationships, ensuring excellent service delivery, and driving account growth through proactive communication and commercial awareness. You will act as the primary point of contact for key customer accounts, managing the full customer journey from quotation through to delivery and aftersales support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the main point of contact for assigned customer accounts, building long-term relationships.
- Manage day-to-day customer communications including quotations, order updates, and delivery status.
- Identify and deliver account growth opportunities through upselling, cross-selling, and new product introductions.
- Prepare and manage quotations and commercial proposals in collaboration with internal teams.
- Support sales forecasting, pipeline management, and structured account planning.
- Manage customer orders from quotation through to delivery and aftersales support.
- Resolve customer queries, concerns, and complaints in line with company procedures.
- Work closely with Sales, Engineering, Production, and Planning teams to meet customer commitments.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and produce account performance and KPI reports.
Skills & Requirements:
- Proven experience in Account Management, Internal Sales, Customer Success, or Technical Sales.
- Background within engineering, manufacturing, electronics, or a technical environment preferred.
- Strong commercial awareness with negotiation and margin management skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building ability.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple accounts.
- Confident using CRM systems (Salesforce desirable) and Microsoft Office.
Education & Experience:
- Previous experience in a customer-facing commercial role within a technical or manufacturing environment.
- Experience with quoting processes, pricing models, and order management.
- CRM and pipeline management experience desirable.
Pay & Benefits:
