Part-Time Year 1 Teacher - Uxbridge Primary School - September 2025 Start

Pertemps Education is working in partnership with a primary school in Uxbridge to recruit a Part-Time Year 1 Class Teacher for a September 2025 start. This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive school community committed to nurturing and inspiring young learners. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning in a well-resourced and positive environment.

Location: Uxbridge

Start Date: September 2025

Contract: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, Long-Term

Salary: M3 – UPS3 + Outer London Allowance (Pro Rata)

About the Role:

  • Teach a Year 1 class on a part-time basis
  • Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum
  • Create a safe, stimulating classroom environment that encourages progress and curiosity
  • Use assessment effectively to inform teaching and meet the needs of all pupils
  • Work collaboratively with the parallel Year 1 teacher and wider KS1 team
  • Communicate positively with parents and carers
  • Engage with school life, including team planning and key stage meetings

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have recent experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally in Year 1
  • Demonstrate strong planning, assessment, and behaviour management skills
  • Be reflective, organised, and committed to high standards
  • Be a positive and collaborative team player
  • Be passionate about making learning enjoyable and accessible for all pupils
