Job Title: Teaching Assistant – SEN School (Adapted Curriculum Support) Location: Merton, London Salary: £104 per day Contract: Full-time, term time only About the School: We are an inclusive SEN school dedicated to supporting children with a range of additional needs. Our focus is on providing a personalised and adapted curriculum to help every child reach their full potential in a safe and nurturing environment. The Role: We are seeking a compassionate and committed Teaching Assistant to support pupils in accessing an adapted curriculum. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and SEN staff to provide tailored support, helping pupils develop academically, socially, and emotionally. Key Responsibilities: Support teachers in delivering lessons adapted to individual pupil needs. Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN. Assist with behaviour management and promoting positive social interactions. Prepare and adapt learning resources to support engagement and understanding. Observe and monitor pupil progress, reporting to teachers and SEN staff. Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.Person Specification: Experience working with children with SEN, ideally in a school or specialist setting. Understanding of strategies to support pupils with diverse learning needs. Patient, empathetic, and adaptable, with strong communication skills.
