The Role
- Lead teaching and learning, providing high-quality, personalised support
- Support pupils’ emotional regulation, behaviour, and wellbeing, using trauma-informed and positive behaviour strategies
- Collaborate with mainstream staff, the SENCO, and external professionals
- Mentor and guide staff within the unit, sharing best practice and innovative SEMH strategies
- Monitor pupil progress, maintain accurate records, and report outcomes
The Person
- Must hold QTS and have experience teaching pupils with SEMH needs
- Knowledgeable in trauma-informed practice, emotional regulation, and positive behaviour support
- Strong communication, leadership, and team-working skills
- Passionate, patient, and adaptable, committed to pupil wellbeing and inclusion
