A highly regarded specialist SEN school near Windsor is seeking a Psychology, Autism & Speech and Language Support Assistant to join their dedicated team. The school supports children and young people aged 4–19 with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN).

You will work in a nurturing, inclusive, and collaborative environment with a multi-disciplinary team, including Speech and Language Therapists (SALTs), Occupational Therapists, Educational Psychologists, and specialist teachers.

Role and Responsibilities

Deliver one-to-one and small-group communication interventions to support children’s speech, language, and social skills
Use autism-friendly strategies, including visual aids, PECS, Makaton, and social stories
Collaborate with SALTs, teachers, and support staff to embed therapeutic approaches across lessons
Encourage pupils to develop confidence, independence, and emotional regulation
Uphold safeguarding, inclusion, and wellbeing standards
Candidate Requirements

Degree in Psychology, Linguistics, Speech Sciences, Education, or Child Development
Genuine interest in communication, autism, and special educational needs
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
Patient, empathetic, and proactive
Able to travel to Windsor / surrounding areas
