Job Title: Postal Delivery Worker (Driving Licence required) Location: 23-33 Woolmarket, Berwick Upon Tweed, TD15 1AA Start Date: 2nd December 2024 Contract Length: until 8th January 2024 Pay Rate: £17.29 per hour Working Hours: 40 hours, 12:00 – 20:00 Overtime may be available/ weekend working required. If successful, you must be able to pass a disclosure check. Pertemps are delighted to be supporting Royal Mail in recruiting multi-drop Postal/Parcel Delivery Drivers in the Berwick Upon Tweed area. If you have excellent customer service skills and want to be a part of a dynamic and growing industry, this position is perfect for you. Key Responsibilities: You’ll start your day in the local delivery office sorting and collecting post/parcels to be delivered. You’ll be given a hand-held device to capture customer signatures for deliveries. The hand-held will also act as your routing system, telling you where to go to next. The role will be physically demanding, where you’ll be walking at least 8 miles per day. You will also be required to carry a bag that can weigh up to 16kg, delivering letters and parcels, with parcels weighing up to 20kg.
