Product/Manufacturing Engineer Definition Hours: 40 hours per week – Monday – Thursday 8.00 to 5pm, Friday 8.00 to 2.00pm Annual Salary £30K We are recruiting a product engineer responsible for designing and developing product as well as improving existing ones. The role of product engineer is critical to any company and the position will support and ensure that these products meet the needs of customers and are produced efficiently. Maintains strong relationships both internally and externally to ensure customer requirements are met. The main duties will be : Solid Works / AutoCAD 2D and 3D CAD Modelling. Producing Bill of Materials . Improve manufacturing efficiency by analysing and planning workflow, space requirements and equipment layout New product design. Product development. Producing design drawings. Developing product data sheets. Investigate production and process issues providing technical support and training. Project management. Providing hands-on support to the production team. Reduce variability in manufacturing by providing standard work methods and work instructions. Reviewing parts of the manufacturing process for process improvement. Customer meetings. Travel to site when necessary to measure/re-design legacy product lead and develop other staff in the production team Work closely with production and operations manager Liaise and communicate with other departments, customers, suppliers and other service providers. Candidate Requirements: CAD 2D/3D experience with knowledge of AutoCAD / SolidWorks Understanding manufacturing processes Understanding engineering, scientific and other technical information Strong problem-solving skills and logical approach Engineering qualifications Holiday: 25 Days Floating+ UK bank holidays Benefits: Company Pension
