As a Team Leader, you will be the go-to contact for team members, responsible for coordinating operational tasks and maintaining high standards in safety, quality, and productivity. You’ll lead by example, support team development, and ensure tasks are completed on time and to the highest standard.
General Responsibilities:
- Supervise, motivate, and resolve conflicts within the team
- Cover for the Site Manager during holidays or absence
- Ensure deadlines and company standards are consistently met
- Promote excellent housekeeping and H&S practices
- Deliver Toolbox Talks and site inductions
- Keep your team informed on policy updates and new initiatives
Operational:
- Coordinate and transport metals using the company van
- Maintain accurate records of transfers and resolve discrepancies
- Operate and maintain machinery
- Ensure the warehouse is clean, organised, and operating efficiently
Health & Safety:
- Enforce company procedures and safety protocols for staff, visitors, and contractors
- Monitor compliance with PPE, attendance, maintenance, and risk assessments
- Support overall site compliance with management systems and RAMS
