CNC Miller Setter / Operator / Programmer
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £16.00 - £20.00 per hour (DOE)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

The Role
As a CNC Miller Setter / Operator / Programmer, your responsibilities will include:
- Setting and operating 3-axis and 4-axis CNC milling machines
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings to BS / ISO standards
- Completing first-off inspections, prove-outs, and quality checks
- Meeting production deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards
- Inspecting components using micrometers, verniers, gauges, etc.
- De-burring parts using various hand tools
- Working both independently and as part of a team
- Carrying out any other duties deemed appropriate
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who has:
- Proven experience setting and operating CNC vertical milling machines
- Strong knowledge of tooling and precision measuring equipment
- The ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
- Good computer skills with a solid understanding of CNC programs
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
- The ability to plan work and use initiative with minimal supervision
- A strong work ethic, flexibility, and a positive attitude
- The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Willingness to work occasional overtime, sometimes at short notice
- A motivated mindset and strong team-player qualities
