We are recruiting a strong administrator to support an established purchasing team. As a key member of the team, you will provide essential support to ensure the smooth operation of the whole end to end buying process. You will work closely with the purchasing team, liaise with suppliers, and support various departments within the company. If you are a good solid administrator we would like to hear from you. The role will report into the Supply Chain Manager.
Hours of work: 7.30am to 4:00pm (30 Minutes lunch) Monday to Thursday, 7.30am to 1.00pm on Fridays.
The main duties will be:
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Buying team, including data entry, filing, and maintaining accurate records.
- Assist in raising and processing purchase orders using the company’s system, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Communicate with suppliers to track order progress, resolve any issues, and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the warehouse to ensure that inventory is maintained at optimal levels.
- Manage the receipt and organisation of product samples, ensuring they are available for review by the Buying team.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, products, and trends that align with the company’s objectives.
- Prepare and manage all necessary documentation, including purchase orders, invoices, and delivery notes.
- Assist in coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to bring new products from concept to market.
Requirements:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
