We are recruiting for an experienced administrator to join the team at a medium sized, award winning care home in Derby. This role is 100% site based, and you will be assisting in the smooth running of operations in the home, providing full administrative support to the home manager and other departments, to being the friendly face dealing directly with visitors, third party healthcare providers and family members.
This role is offered on an initial temporary basis, in which the client may take you on a permanent contract after the qualifying time period.
Hours of work: 5 days out of 7. Some weekend working required.
Day to Day Includes:
- Acting as first point of contact for all enquiries coming into the home via telephone, e-mail and post. This will include Doctors/GP surgeries, support workers and residents' family members.
- Ensure all correspondence is actioned in a timely manner and escalating where required.
- Coordinating onboarding paperwork for new staff team members, and assisting with administrative tasks regarding rotas, payroll and other internal processes.
- Greet any visitors coming to site and monitor reception area.
- Filing, scanning, document management.
- Other ad hoc administrative support to all departments.
About you:
- Enhanced DBS with Adult Workforce.
- Experience of working in an administrative role within a healthcare setting, a prior knowledge of care/residential home processes would be ideal.
- Ability to manage own workload and prioritise day to day tasks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Outlook and Excel.
- Calm, professional and personable as you will be dealing directly with vulnerable people.
- Own transport.
