Electrical Control Design Engineer ________________________________________ The Role You’ll take responsibility for the design and development of electrical control systems for both standard and bespoke pumping solutions. You\’ll collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to deliver effective, safe, and efficient system designs. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities of this Electrical Control Design Engineer role: • Create electrical schematics using EPLAN or AutoCAD Electrical for client approval • Generate full technical documentation for manufacturing and installation • Liaise with clients and suppliers to balance performance, design, and cost • Support site attendance, commissioning, and client interactions as required • Work with PLCs, HMIs, VSDs, and other intelligent control systems • Assist with SCADA, telemetry, and networking integration • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards • Provide internal and external technical support, including to workshop teams • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of industrial automation trends • Contribute to continuous improvement and team development initiatives ________________________________________ Skills required for this Electrical Control Design Engineer role: Qualifications / Training • Essential: BTEC / ONC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent • Desirable: HNC / Degree in Electrical Engineering or related industrial automation qualification Knowledge & Experience • Essential: o Experience designing control panels and electrical systems o Hands-on panel design, assembly, and wiring o Familiarity with VSDs, soft starters, and safety compliance • Desirable: o Experience with SCADA systems, telemetry, and networked control o PLC programming/system integration • Strong planning and time management skills • Team player with great communication and collaboration ability • Proactive, forward-thinking, and self-driven • Willingness to learn and mentor others ________________________________________ Details of this Electrical Control Design Engineer role: • Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 depending on experience • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm (flexible) • Holidays: 30 days including statutory, rising to 33 after 1 year • Benefits Package: o Annual business performance bonus (non-contractual) o Private healthcare (taxable), critical illness, and death-in-service cover after qualifying period o Enhanced pension – full employer contribution after 3 years o Comprehensive training and development opportunities o Supportive team culture within a modern working environment ________________________________________ Please note: Only candidates meeting the key criteria will be contacted.
