Position Overview: As a Site-Based Service and Maintenance Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the uninterrupted operation of filling and packaging lines. Your primary responsibilities will include planned maintenance of the production line machinery, encompassing mechanical and pneumatic systems mostly with basic electrical involvement. Additionally, you will be the go-to person for swiftly responding to machinery issues and faults on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform planned maintenance on production line machinery, covering various technical systems.
- Diagnose and promptly address machinery faults and breakdowns on the factory floor.
- Maintain a high standard of safety protocols and practices.
- Collaborate with the maintenance Manager to optimize machinery performance.
- Provide technical knowledge and guidance to improve overall equipment efficiency.
- Assist in the continuous improvement of maintenance processes and procedures.
- Work a 5-day week, which includes occasional, planned Saturdays as and when required with a day off during the week.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in maintenance and repair of production machinery (Ideally from a food production or pharmaceutical industry).
- Strong understanding of mechanical, pneumatic and electrical systems.
- Hands-on approach to maintenance and problem-solving.
- Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of safety standards and practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
