Yard Operative

Job Alert!!We are looking for a responsible, outgoing Yard Operative in the Horsham area.This Role is Monday – Friday with weekend availability required.Main Responsibilities– Greet customers as they visit the branch and show genuine interest in their projects- Develop a good understanding of our product offerings to provide helpful advice and support during customer interactions- Prepare customer orders and assist with loading and unloading goods from vehicles using appropriate equipment- Inspect incoming deliveries, noting any discrepancies or damages, and report issues promptly- Manage inventory levels across sales and storage areas, conducting regular stock counts to ensure accuracy- Keep the branch environment clean and organized to create a positive first impression for visitors- Prioritize safety procedures and promote a safe working environment for yourself and colleaguesSkills and Experience Needed– Driving License is essential- Experience in a similar role is advantageous but not mandatory- Excellent organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively- Strong communication skills to engage with customers and team members- Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor settings- A good understanding of health and safety practices- Ability to handle manual tasks involving heavy or bulky items safely and confidentlyIf you are interested in this role, please call Louisa on (Option 2) or send her an email on
