We are recruiting a Production Technician on behalf of our Coventry-based client. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity offering an immediate start, excellent working hours, and the chance to join a small, friendly team with full training provided. Working hours will be Monday to Thursday 8am till 4.30pm and Friday 8am till 2pm. Max salary equivalent of £27,000.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Inwards inspection of service and repair instruments
- Modification and rebuilding of instruments to customer requirements
- Calibration of instruments using Environics equipment and small gas cylinders
- Use of custom-made tools to calibrate company-specific products
- Assembly of sub-assemblies to maintain production and service stock levels
- Following work instructions and job orders accurately
- Working safely in a calibration lab environment using toxic gases
- Quality inspection of outgoing instruments
- Flexibility to adapt to changing production demands
Candidate Requirements
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Good problem-solving skills
- Electronic background or strong interest in electronics
- Confident using manual and electronic hand tools
- Good manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Soldering experience (through-hole and surface mount preferred)
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Fast-paced and productive working style
- Willing to undertake some manual handling
