Are you the kind of person who loves bringing order to organised chaos? Someone who enjoys being at the centre of the action, keeping projects moving and teams motivated? We’re working with a fast-growing creative production company based in Coventry that specialises in delivering bold, large-scale graphics for exhibitions, events and experiential spaces across the UK and internationally. Their work quite literally fills rooms, transforms venues and brings brands to life. They’re now looking for a hands-on Production Floor Manager to help keep their busy production environment running smoothly. This isn’t a desk-bound management role. You’ll be right on the production floor, coordinating jobs, supporting the team and making sure projects move seamlessly from print through to finishing and dispatch. If you’re someone with production experience who’s ready to step up, take ownership and develop new skills, this could be a fantastic opportunity to grow your career in a creative industry.
The Role
As Production Floor Manager, you’ll play a key role in keeping the production operation organised, efficient and on track. Working closely with the project management team and production staff, you’ll ensure jobs are prioritised correctly and delivered on time - all while maintaining high quality standards. You’ll be the central link between planning and production, helping the team stay focused and ensuring every job moves through the workshop smoothly.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Production Coordination
- Organising and prioritising jobs across the production floor
- Ensuring projects move efficiently through print, cutting, finishing and packing
- Monitoring job progress and flagging potential delays early
- Team Leadership
- Providing day-to-day coordination for the production team
- Making sure everyone understands priorities and schedules
- Supporting colleagues when the workload ramps up
- Workflow Management
- Running daily production briefings
- Working with project managers to confirm production priorities
- Ensuring clear instructions and specifications are provided for each job
- Quality & Efficiency
- Maintaining high standards across all production output
- Identifying ways to improve workflow and efficiency
- Helping resolve production challenges when they arise
- Hands-On Support
- Jumping in to support the team during busy periods
- Assisting with finishing and production tasks when required
- Helping maintain a positive, collaborative workshop environment
What We’re Looking For
This role would suit someone who is:
- A natural organiser who keeps things moving
- Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced production environment
- Practical and hands-on, not afraid to get involved
- A problem solver who can think on their feet
- A strong communicator who works well with different teams
Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who enjoys getting things done rather than managing from behind a desk.
Experience That Would Help
Experience in any of the following areas would be beneficial:
- Print production
- Large format graphics or signage
- Exhibition or event production
- Workshop or manufacturing environments
- Production scheduling or workflow coordination
That said, attitude, organisation and practical experience matter more than formal qualifications.
The Opportunity
This role is ideal for someone who has already worked in production and is ready for the next step. Maybe you’re currently a Production Supervisor, Workshop Team Leader or Senior Production Operative and want the chance to take ownership of a production floor and prove yourself in a leadership role. The company is growing, the work is varied, and you’ll have the chance to develop new skills while making a real impact on how the production operation runs.
What’s On Offer
£35,000-£40,000 salary depending on experience
Permanent, full-time role
Onsite role based in Coventry
Friendly, collaborative team environment
Opportunity to learn new skills in a creative production industry
The chance to play a key role in shaping and improving the production floor
If you’re looking for a role where no two days are the same, where you can step up, take responsibility and grow your career, we’d love to hear from you.
