We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Facilities / Waste & Recycling Assistant to support the upkeep of waste and recycling areas within a well-managed, modern residential apartment development located in Cardiff city centre. The role focuses on maintaining clean, organised, and compliant waste and recycling rooms, along with general cleaning of associated public areas, helping to ensure a high standard of presentation for residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing waste and recycling rooms to ensure they are kept tidy, safe, and organised
- Ensuring all waste bags are removed from floors and placed into the correct bins
- Checking recycling bins to confirm only appropriate materials are present
- Reorganising bins where required to maintain correct usage and accessibility
- Carrying out general cleaning of waste rooms, including floors and surfaces
- Supporting the cleanliness of nearby public and communal areas
- Reporting any issues such as contamination, overflow, or damage to bins
Requirements
- Ability to carry out physical tasks, including lifting and moving waste bags
