An opportunity has arisen for a Flood Risk Operations Engineer to take a lead role in the planning, design and delivery of flood risk maintenance and improvement schemes. The post focuses on protecting communities, enhancing climate resilience and ensuring flood risk assets are effectively managed. You will oversee projects from initial concept through to completion, champion health and safety, support flood incident response and collaborate with contractors, partners and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver the annual programme of flood risk asset maintenance
- Lead flood risk management planning and incident response readiness
- Prepare, review and update flood incident response plans and operational procedures
- Scope, cost and deliver flood risk improvement and capital works projects
- Manage budgets across both revenue and capital programmes
