Job Title: Support Worker\\nHours per Week: 37\\nWorking Pattern: Monday–Friday, with one Saturday in eight\\nContract Length: Temporary – expected until March 2026\\nSalary: £14.82 per hour\\nDBS Requirement: Enhanced DBS required\\n \\n We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Support Worker to join our clients team on a temporary basis. You will be supporting veterans and individuals who have experienced homelessness or are at risk of homelessness, providing holistic, solution-focused support that empowers people to develop independence and stability.\\nYour caseload will typically consist of 5–8 customers, allowing you the time and capacity to deliver high-quality, person-centred support. You will work as part of a wider team supporting people with moderate to high support needs across the Exeter area.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities:\\n\\nProvide practical and emotional support tailored to individual needs.\\nWork closely with external agencies around mental health, substance misuse, benefits, housing, education, training and employment.\\nCreate, review and update support plans and risk assessments.\\nTake a positive and proactive approach to risk management.\\nSupport individuals to work toward their goals and build skills for independent living.\\nAbout the Candidate\\nEssential:\\n\\nExperience supporting a wide range of people with varying backgrounds and support needs.\\nAbility to apply common sense to situations and manage risks appropriately.\\nAccountability for decision-making and understanding the bigger picture.\\nExperience maintaining records and creating effective action plans.\\nAbility to build positive relationships with individuals and internal/external partners.\\nAbility to lone-work safely and also contribute effectively as part of a team.\\nWillingness to work flexibly, including with different clients/colleagues and occasionally outside standard hours.\\nClear understanding of diversity when supporting vulnerable people.\\nAbility to promote independence and self-determination in individuals and groups.\\nAbility to form constructive, creative relationships to support individuals’ development.\\nConfidence in assessing challenging situations and providing appropriate solutions.\\nAbility to respond positively to change.\\nGood understanding of housing support and the issues people face daily.\\nUnderstanding of training, education, employment opportunities or social activities.\\nPrevious experience working with vulnerable individuals, either 1:1 or in group environments.\\nKnowledge and understanding of housing-related support.\\nGood literacy and numeracy skills.\\nSafeguarding certifications.\\nNVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant field.\\nApply today or for any further information contact Pertemps (phone number removed) and ask to speak with Matt
