Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 07:00–15:00 / Friday 07:00–14:30

Overview: We are seeking an experienced Plant Operator to support waste and recycling operations in Arbroath. The role involves operating a 9M Telehandler and/or Forklift, loading vehicles, and maintaining safe and efficient site operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate Telehandler and/or Forklift to load articulated vehicles with recyclable or waste materials.
  • Complete first-use checklists before operating any vehicles or machinery.
  • Carry out routine maintenance and servicing of vehicles, plant, and equipment (including oil, water, and cleanliness checks).
  • Operate plant and machinery used for baling recyclables.
  • Report any vehicle or site infrastructure damage to the Supervisor.
  • Control traffic on site according to site rules, ensuring safety and preventing unauthorised access.
  • Maintain site cleanliness by sweeping, litter picking, and ensuring facilities and surrounding areas are tidy.
  • Be responsible for the security of keys and site equipment during working hours.
  • Maintain accurate records, including vehicle checks, hour sheets, fuel logs, and defect reports.
  • Comply with all Health and Safety regulations.
