Tool Room & CNC Machinist Location: Birmingham Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30 – 16:00 (40 hours per week) Salary £37,000-£45,000 per annum We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Tool Room & CNC Machinist to join our precision engineering team based in Birmingham. This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced manufacturing technologies in a dynamic and quality-focused environment. Key Responsibilities Tool Room Operations – Programming and operation of CNC lathes for the machining of cylindrical hobs and associated electrodes (FANUC control systems) – Pressing of hobs using Master Tooling (comprehensive training will be provided) – Execution of general machining tasks including conventional lathe work, slitting, and surface grinding – Consistent production to tight tolerances of 0.01mm – Management of small batch manufacturing processes 5-Axis Milling – Setup and operation of Hurco VM10 5-Axis Milling Machine – Off-line programming using Autodesk Fusion 360 CAD/CAM software – Manufacture of bespoke components to exacting tolerances of 0.01mm 5-Axis Grinding – Setup and operation of ANCA grinding machines (training available for suitable candidates) – Precision grinding to tolerances of 0.01mm Candidate Profile – Proven experience in CNC machining and programming, preferably with FANUC controls – Familiarity with CAD/CAM software, particularly Autodesk Fusion 360 – A meticulous approach to quality and precision – Ability to work independently and manage small batch production efficiently – A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes What We Offer – A competitive Salary – Structured training and development opportunities – A professional and supportive working environment – The chance to contribute to the production of high-precision, bespoke components If you are interested in applying for our CNC Programmer vacancy, please click to apply or email (url removed)
