Responsibilities
- Operate brake press efficiently to bend and form sheet metal components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Mig welding.
- Utilise metalworking skills to work with various materials.
- Adjust tooling and settings regularly based on job requirements.
- Work independently with minimal supervision once job details are provided.
- Measure and verify material thickness using tape measures.
- Demonstrate initiative in problem-solving and decision-making.
- Ensure precision and accuracy in all folded components.
- Collaborate with the team to achieve production goals.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a brake press operator.
- Background in metalworking, specifically in sheet metal.
- Pipework experience.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Experience in folding different material thicknesses.
- Ability to change tooling and settings regularly.
- Strong initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Precision in measuring and understanding material thickness.
