My client is a leading international freight forwarder, known for delivering seamless logistics solutions across air, sea, and road. As we expand our operations, we're seeking a Customs Broker who can confidently handle CDS entries and play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and compliant movement of goods across borders.
Key Responsibilities- Complete accurate and timely customs entries via CDS, including import/export declarations
- Liaise with HMRC, port authorities, and clients to resolve queries and ensure compliance
- Monitor and maintain customs records in line with UK/EU regulations
- Work closely with operations and warehouse teams to ensure goods are cleared efficiently
- Keep up to date with evolving customs regulations and tariff changes
- Proven experience as a Customs Broker in a freight forwarding or logistics environment
- Strong knowledge of the Customs Declaration Service (CDS) and CHIEF system transition
- Familiarity with Incoterms, commodity codes, and duty/tax calculations
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
