Job Title: MIS Analyst
Location: Erdington, Birmingham
Pay: £13.40 per hour
Summary: Pertemps is recruiting for one of our clients for an MIS analyst for a Logistics company to be responsible for collecting, analysing, and reporting operational data related to logistics activities such as inventory, transportation, warehousing, and order fulfilment. The role ensures accurate and timely management information to support decision‑making, performance tracking, and continuous improvement in logistics operations.
Responsibilities
- Data Management & Reporting – Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports on logistics KPIs
- Data Management & Reporting – Track and analyse order fulfilment & OTIF (On‑Time‑In‑Full)
- Data Management & Reporting – Inventory accuracy, ageing, and stock movement
- Data Management & Reporting – Inbound and outbound shipments
- Data Management & Reporting – Transport costs and utilisation
- Data Management & Reporting – Maintain dashboards using Excel / BI tools for management review
- Operational Support – Coordinate with warehouse, transport, and planning teams to collect real‑time operational data
- Operational Support – Monitor adherence to SLAs, turnaround time (TAT), and service levels
- Operational Support – Identify variances, root causes, and report exceptions
- Systems & Process Management – Work on WMS (DLx, ProSku, AX) for data extraction and validation
- Systems & Process Management – Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across systems
- Systems & Process Management – Support system improvements, automation, and process optimisation initiatives
- Analysis & Decision Support – Analyse trends in logistics performance and costs
- Analysis & Decision Support – Provide insights to improve delivery performance, inventory optimisation, and warehouse productivity
- Analysis & Decision Support – Support leadership with ad‑hoc reports and presentations
- Compliance & Documentation – Maintain MIS documentation, SOPs, and reporting standards
- Compliance & Documentation – Support internal audits and compliance requirements
- Compliance & Documentation – Ensure confidentiality and data integrity
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) – Accuracy and timeliness of MIS reports
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) – OTIF delivery performance
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) – Inventory accuracy and stock variance

Required Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills
- Advanced MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP / XLOOKUP, Power Query)
- Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / Dynamics / similar)
- WMS / TMS
- Data analysis and reporting skills
- Power BI / Tableau (preferred)
Functional Knowledge
- Logistics & Supply Chain processes
- Warehouse operations
- Transportation & distribution
- Inventory management principles

Education & Experience
- 2–5 years of MIS or data management experience in logistics / supply chain
- Experience in warehouse or transport operations is an advantage
