Strategic Buyer – Transport Procurement Focus Location: Birmingham Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum (DOE) Are you a procurement expert with a deep understanding of transport operations and supply chain management? Are you commercially minded, confident managing high-value suppliers, and ready to influence procurement strategy in a large-scale operation? Pertemps are working in partnership with a forward-thinking organisation to recruit a Strategic Buyer with a strong background in transport procurement. This is a key hire for the business, offering the opportunity to shape supplier strategy and deliver long-term value in a critical spend category. Capex procurement experience is not essential – training and development will be provided. What matters most is your strategic approach, stakeholder engagement skills, and proven success in managing complex transport and logistics categories. Key Responsibilities: Lead procurement activities within the Transport category, including supplier sourcing, negotiations, and contract management. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement strategic sourcing plans aligned with business goals.
