Location: Birmingham City Centre (Hybrid – 60% Office / 40% Home)

Salary: £15.11 per hour

Working Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday

About the Role

We are currently seeking a proactive and organised Business Office Support professional client based in Birmingham City Centre. This is a hybrid role with a 60/40 office-to-home working pattern, offering the opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of one of the UK’s most respected public bodies.

Reporting to the Business Support Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring efficient day-to-day administrative and operational support across various teams. This position is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to internal teams and senior managers
  • Manage and maintain accurate records, databases, and documentation
  • Support scheduling, diary management, and coordination of meetings (in-person and virtual)
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other business documentation
  • Respond to queries from internal and external stakeholders in a timely and professional manner
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures and data protection requirements
  • Support general office operations and contribute to continuous process improvements

Requirements

  • Proven experience in an administrative or office support role
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Public sector experience (desirable but not essential)

Start Date: Immediate

Contract End Date: December 2025

Work Pattern: Hybrid – 3 days in the office (Birmingham City Centre), 2 days remote

Pay Rate: £15.11 per hour
