Pertemps are currently recruiting for a skilled Metal Fabricator to join a dynamic engineering company based in Basingstoke. Our client is looking for a candidate with a keen attention to detail to join their team and grow within their fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate fabrication equipment such as press brakes, plasma cutters and sheet rollers.
- Interpret and work from technical drawings and CAD files.
- Perform welding and fabrication tasks on a variety of metals.
- Repair and fabricate metal parts using various welding techniques including MIG, TIG and Laser welding.
- Use hand and power tools to clean, assemble and finish products.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace.
Requirements for this role:
- Previous experience within sheet metal fabrication.
- Confident MIG and TIG welder.
- Strong understanding of sheet metal properties, fabrication techniques and machine operating.
- Proven ability to read and understand technical drawings.
- Physical strength to handle heavy materials and equipment.
- Be able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
The Fabricator role:
- Salary of £38,000 per annum depending on experience.
- 22 days holiday plus bank holidays.
- Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm.
- Medical cash plan.
