We are currently recruiting for an urgent Facilities Operative to join an established Banbury company and the current on-site facilities team. This is a hands-on Maintenance position for an experienced team person.
Working hours: Day shift: 7:00am – 3:00pm or 8:00am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday. Flexibility is essential, as occasional weekend work and work outside normal hours will be required.
Pay rate: £13.04 per hour
Role Overview: Working alongside the permanent Facilities Operative, you will support the maintenance and upkeep of the site. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a strong background in facilities, maintenance, or site work.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
- Laying and spreading gravel in the main staff car park to ensure even coverage
- Carrying out pothole repairs on site entrances (tarmac repairs, packing holes, and using a whacker plate to compact)
- Assisting weekend contractors with roof works, including use of an FLT to move cages and materials
- General toilet maintenance, including repairs and replacement of locks, toilet seats, and flush mechanisms
- Roof repairs, including patching holes and addressing leaks (internal and external)
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar facilities or maintenance role
- FLT licence required
- Willingness to be trained on scissor lift and cherry picker equipment
- Flexible, reliable, and able to work as part of a small team
