A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a motivated and detail‑focused Accounts Assistant to join a busy finance team on a temp to perm basis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is confident communicating with both customers and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up new supplier and customer accounts
- Carry out credit assessments and set credit limits
- Process purchase invoices and manual sales/purchase invoices and credit notes
- Arrange invoice approvals and support payment runs (sterling and foreign)
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
- Manage customer queries and support debt collection
- Provide reporting and analysis on overdue accounts and payment patterns
- Liaise with stakeholders regarding unmatched invoices
- Support month‑end processes and assist with audit/statutory duties
- Handle general administrative tasks as required
