Pertemps is currently recruiting for an experienced Class 1 Driver for our Electrical Manufacturing client based in Milton Keynes.
Salary: £36,905 (OTE of £56,000 with overtime)
Hours: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm (sometimes earlier starts)
Duties:
- Safely deliver and collect goods from customer sites
- Loading and offloading goods in the yard or at customer sites ensuring correct placement
- Start generators upon delivery, connect fuel tanks, run initial checks, and provide customers with basic operational guidance (training will be given)
- Deliver fuel to customer sites using fuel tankers or 4x4s with bowsers as required
- Assist with basic maintenance tasks when in the yard, including equipment cleaning. Maintain a tidy, safe work environment and comply with the Company Health & Safety Policy, ensuring company vehicles remain clean and organized
- Adhere to relevant regulations such as Tachograph Regulations, European Working Time Directive, and vehicle safety checklists, as well as ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 procedures, proactively contributing to our continuous improvement program.
Requirements:
- LGV License (C+E / Old Class 1)
- At least 1-2 years experience driving a Class 1
- Experience with Relevant Vehicle Types: (e.g., rigid wagon with drawbar trailer rated to 44 tons, tractor unit with 45’ flatbed trailer)
- Digital Tachograph Holder
- Flexible Working Hours
