Pertemba is a family-owned company and we are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Advisor to join our team.

Location: Leicester (Office-based/Hybrid options). Must attend the office on a Tuesday and Thursday each week.

Salary: Competitive £28,000 to £31,000 (Pro-rata) based on 25 hours per week.

Hours: 20 to 25 hours per week.

The Role

As our HR Advisor, you won’t just be processing paperwork; you’ll be the heartbeat of our people operations. You will manage everything from the initial "hello" of recruitment to the strategic "how can we do better" of employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee Relations: Act as the lead advisor on all ER matters, including disciplinaries, grievances, and absence management, ensuring fair and consistent application of policy.
  • End-to-End Recruitment: Manage the talent pipeline, from drafting job descriptions and sourcing candidates to conducting interviews and onboarding.
  • Employee Engagement: Develop and implement initiatives that make our company a great place to work, fostering a culture of recognition and high morale.
  • Training & Development: Identify skills gaps and coordinate training programs to help our team grow.
  • Standalone Autonomy: Take the lead on HR projects and daily operations, providing expert advice to department managers.
  • Payroll: Collate payroll information for the external payroll provider in a timely manner.

About You

You are a confident communicator who can balance professional policy with a human touch. You’re comfortable working independently and have the experience to hit the ground running.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a generalist HR role.
  • Education: Minimum CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent degree/qualification).
  • ER Specialist: A robust background in handling employee relations cases.
  • Versatility: Proven experience in recruitment, training delivery, and engagement strategies.
  • Local Presence: Ability to work from our Leicester location.
