Join Our Diverse Ultrasound Team at Perspectum, Oxford! We are looking for a skilled Ultrasound Sonographer to join our innovative team at Perspectum’s Oxford Community Diagnostic Centre, in partnership with the Oxford University Hospitals (OUH) NHS Trust. You will be responsible for performing and reporting a variety of ultrasound scans, including gynaecological, general, vascular, abdominal, soft tissue, and small parts imaging. This role offers autonomy, allowing you to conduct unsupervised scans and provide independent reports, playing a crucial part in patient diagnosis and care.
In this role, you will ensure patients receive exceptional care, from clear communication about procedures to making specialist recommendations and suggesting follow-up actions when necessary. You will be legally and professionally accountable for your work, taking a lead in maintaining high standards of clinical practice.
About You
We are seeking a motivated, compassionate sonographer with NHS experience who can work independently and confidently. You should hold a relevant qualification (PGDip in Medical Ultrasound/DMU or equivalent) and be registered with RCT or HCPC. The ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team and manage your workload efficiently is essential. Ideally, you will have experience teaching and mentoring junior staff although this is not essential.
