About the Role

This is a key front-facing role where you’ll be the first point of contact for visitors, patients, volunteers and colleagues, helping to create a welcoming, professional and well-run environment every day. As a Front of Office Assistant, you will play a vital part in supporting our reception and clinical administration teams. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Welcoming all visitors, including patients, study participants, colleagues, contractors and guests.
  • Ensuring the reception area is tidy, safe and welcoming at all times.
  • Managing deliveries, post and liaising with couriers.
  • Supporting the smooth running of reception cover, including managing breaks and absences.
  • Identifying and reporting any facilities or maintenance issues.
  • Providing general front-of-office and administrative support as required.

You’ll also have opportunities to support wider office operations, contribute to continuous improvement, and help keep our workplace running efficiently. This role is full time, fully office based with free parking available.

About You

You’ll be someone who ideally has previous experience in a similar reception/front office role. You are also someone who:

  • Is responsible, reliable and trustworthy, with a strong eye for detail.
  • Has experience in a face-to-face customer service or front-of-house role.
  • Communicates clearly, calmly and professionally with a wide range of people.
  • Is motivated, hard-working and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Has a positive, “can-do” attitude and enjoys problem-solving.
  • Is confident using IT systems, particularly cloud-based Office 365 tools.
  • Is open, approachable and willing to learn.
