I am recruiting for an Appointment Maker to maximise sales through high quality leads and working as a team towards agreed set targets and profitability goals. You will also provide a high level of sales support by ensuring all queries are responded to in an efficient, professional and timely manner.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify opportunities, produce leads and book appointments for the New Business Development Manager with the emphasis on high quality leads.
- Manage and maintain the database and proactively follow up leads generated from database and external enquiries, making 60-70 calls per day.
- Make a minimum of 2 calls per annum to all contacts on the database.
- Use initiative to identify and follow up opportunities with companies who are not already on the database.
- Manage the database to a high degree of accuracy to ensure targeted marketing activity can take place to generate new business.
- Set up and send targeted sector mail merges each month with follow up calls.
- Following MailChimp mailing to contact key organisations who have shown an interest.
- Form relationships with key individuals in potential client sectors.
- Manage the enquiries inbox with the help of the team and action emails accordingly.
- Help identify tender opportunities via portals and subsidiaries.
- Qualify new data as well as prospecting for new leads.
- Work closely with the New Business Manager and New Business Coordinator to achieve sales objectives.
- Attend monthly meetings with the New Business team to update information and discuss any issues.
- Liaise effectively with all departments within the business to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Contribute to the team performance by sharing and implementing Best Practice ideas.
- Provide some administrative support such as filling out set forms and monitoring and sending emails.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience
- Computer literate/keyboard skills.
- At least 1 β 2 years working within a sales environment preferably in a proactive appointment making/telemarketing role.
- Excellent telephone skills.
- High degree of accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise issues.
Intellectual Demands
- Must have minimum βOβ level/GCSE Maths and English.
- Ability to adapt procedures to a new and more effective way of working (in relation primarily to database management).
Skills with People
- Ability to build strong working relationships (internal/external).
- Excellent communication skills β verbal and written.
- Ability to persuade, influence and negotiate effectively at all levels within and outside the organisation.
Hours for this role are Monday - Friday 9am - 4.30pm.
