Personnel Solutions is seeking a skilled and motivated HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle) Fitter to join our client in Sheffield. In this vital role, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining the heavy-duty vehicles to ensure optimal safety, reliability, and performance. * Up to £60k + Overtime over 40 hours * Monday to Friday 7am - 5pm * Saturday 7am-12pm Duties * Service, maintain and repair HGVs and commercial vehicles * Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults * Carry out inspections, servicing and preventative maintenance * Complete MOT preparation work * Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with DVSA standards * Accurately complete job cards and maintenance records * Minimise vehicle downtime and support operational requirements Requirements * Previous experience as an HGV Fitter, HGV Technician or Commercial Vehicle Technician * Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a busy workshop * Class 1 (C+E) licence desirable * IRTEC accreditation would be highly advantageous If you're looking for a well-paid role with a reputable business where your skills are genuinely valued, we'd love to hear from you
