Personnel Solutions is seeking a proactive Business Development Executive to take ownership of outbound sales activity and revenue generation. This role will involve building a structured sales pipeline from scratch, developing new business opportunities, and then maintaining and growing that pipeline through consistent follow-up and account development. This is a hybrid role combining business development, account management, and light marketing activity, suited to someone who is organised, self-motivated, and confident operating independently in a small business. Hours - 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday Up to £32,000 + Commission
Responsibilities:
- Build, manage, and grow a structured sales pipeline covering prospects, quotes, follow-ups, and converted orders
- Proactively generate new business opportunities within public sector and commercial markets
- Follow up all outstanding quotes via phone and email to maximise conversion rates
- Track and manage all activity using a CRM system or structured spreadsheet
- Identify and target councils, local authorities, housing associations, police forces, and other public sector organisations
- Research upcoming projects, tenders, and recurring signage requirements
- Develop relationships with new and existing contacts to secure long-term repeat business
