PS Ltd are currently recruiting for an experienced Diesel Engineer to join a busy and growing engineering team. This is a hands-on role involving the inspection, repair, overhaul, testing and assembly of diesel engines, transmissions, axles and related mechanical components. You will work within a modern workshop environment, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strip, inspect and rebuild mechanical components
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults
  • Test and evaluate completed units
  • Complete workshop paperwork accurately
  • Work closely with parts and service teams
  • Maintain high standards of quality, safety and housekeeping
  • Working hours of 7:30 - 16:00, Monday - Friday

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a mechanical or engineering environment
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Experience working on diesel engines, transmissions or similar equipment
  • Ability to read technical information and follow procedures
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
