Personnel Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper to help provide support to our clients finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate accounts, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a leading manufacturer's financial health and growth through precise record-keeping and effective utilisation of accounting software.
Hours:
- Monday - Friday
- A degree of flexibility is offered
- £32,000 - £35,000
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of company accounts, including ledgers, reconciliations, and monthly reporting.
- Process accurate and timely monthly payroll.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable, including supplier payments and credit control.
- Complete daily and monthly bank reconciliations and manage cash flow forecasting.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals, prepayments, and management accounts.
- Work with directors on budgets, forecasts, and margin analysis.
- Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and suppliers.
- Support continuous improvement and efficiency across all financial processes.
Experience:
- Proven experience in a similar accounting role, ideally within a manufacturing or SME environment.
- You must be fully qualified.
- Strong knowledge of Sage 50 accounting software.
- Confident with Excel and IT systems.
- Experience working with online sales platforms and ecommerce transactions.
- Familiarity with Linnworks or similar inventory management systems is an advantage.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisation.
- Self-motivated and capable of managing the finance function independently.
