We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Project Operative to join a busy warehouse and logistics operation in Barton-under-Needwood, Burton-on-Trent.
The role will involve working across day-to-day warehouse activities, inventory management, stock transfers and project-specific tasks. As a Warehouse Project Operative, you will work across different areas of the operation and help ensure stock is moved, stored and processed accurately and safely.
Duties will include:
- General warehouse duties
- Moving and transferring stock around the warehouse
- Inventory management and stock control
- Picking, moving and preparing stock
- Completing project-specific warehouse tasks
- Assisting with warehouse layout and process changes
- Ensuring stock movements are recorded accurately
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Following Health & Safety procedures
- Working to productivity and quality standards
- Working across different areas of the warehouse when required
MHE Training
Training will be provided across a range of Material Handling Equipment, including:
- HLOP
- VNA
- Counterbalance Forklift
- Reach Truck
Previous forklift or MHE experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
Requirements
The successful Warehouse Project Operative will ideally have:
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience
- A reliable and flexible approach to work
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures
- Good awareness of Health & Safety
- Willingness to undertake MHE training
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A practical and proactive approach to warehouse work
