Personnel Selection Recruitment is seeking Soldering Operatives. Previous experience desirable however our client would also like to hear from candidates that have come from a small component or engineering assembly background that potentially would like to be trained. Our client is an established local company who are leaders in their field within the electronics industry. You will be valuable and key member of the team assisting in the manufacture of a wide range of electronic assemblies. Due to the rapid growth of the business, they are seeking motivated individuals to join the team. You will primarily be responsible for building PCB assemblies to IPC610 class 2 standard by hand-soldering thru-hole components and complete component fit and crop. You will also follow PCB cleaning processes. You can eventually obtain official industry standards up to IPC3 soldering. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who would like to learn a new direction or gain further advancement of their existing soldering skills.
Normal working hours will be Mon-Thurs 08:30-17:00, Fri 08:30-15:30.
Qualifications and skills to be considered for the role:-
• Previous experience working in Production/Assembly, ideally within a Manufacturing environment or similar
• Excellent attention to detail and quality standards.
• A good attitude and work ethic.
• Steady hands suitable for working with small intricate parts and components.
• Good strong eyesight ( corrective spectacles are not a problem )
• The ability to follow company procedures and precise work instructions at all times.
• Ability to read diagrams and instructions.
• Computer literate.
• Happy to use small hand tools and soldering irons.
• Work collaboratively within your team and assist others where necessary.
• Soldering experience is a strong advantage but not essential.
• Knowledge/Qualifications of the Electronics industry is desirable but not essential.
